EPL: Man Utd reveal next permanent manager to players

Manchester United have informed the players that Erik ten Hag will be appointed as their next permanent manager imminently.

The UK Mirror reports an official announcement will be made after their trip to Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.  United’s 4-0 defeat at Liverpool on Tuesday night, shows the scale of the task ahead for Ten Hag.

The 52-year-old will be tasked with rebuilding the club from this summer. That has already begun after United’s chief scout, Jim Lawlor, and Marcel Bout, head of global scouting, both left the club on Wednesday.

Lawlor joined United in 2005 under Sir Alex Ferguson and was promoted to chief scout in 2014.

Bout came in under former United boss Louis van Gaal, initially as a coach, before moving into a scouting role.
